He is the Founder and Chief Strategist of The Community Coalition for Health (C2H), a research-based initiative that addresses health disparities in communities, particularly chronic conditions such as diabetes and related social determinants of health. Under his leadership, C2H collaborates with partners including The University of Texas, Dell Medical School, local nonprofits, the City of Austin, Central Health (Travis County’s health district), faith-based organizations, and NASA, and its diabetes intervention model has been approved by the American Diabetes Association.

Dr. Moody’s current portfolio includes Austin CARES (Climate Adaptation Resilient Communities), supported by NASA Earth Observations, and a Heatwave Resilience Digital Climate Tools initiative led by the NOOHA , both integrating climate data, public health metrics, and community knowledge to inform policy and emergency response for at-risk communities. These projects align with Planet Texas and WCWH by demonstrating how satellite data, digital climate atlases, and community engagement can be combined to address urban heat islands, environmental stressors, and health inequities.

He holds a Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Regent University, a Master of Public Service in Community and Economic Development from Penn State University, a Master of Arts in Adult and Developmental Education from Texas State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Moody is also member of The University of Southern California’s (USC) inaugural Distinguished Leadership cohort.  Over more than three decades, he has served as Senior Pastor and CEO of The ROCK of Round Rock, a police chaplain in Austin and Round Rock, a nonprofit housing and economic development leader, and an instructor in higher education, consistently using leadership development and policy advocacy to build resilient, equity-centered communities.
